NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT:
New student enrollment is scheduled for August 8th, 9th & 10th from 9am-11am and 1pm-2pm.
This past spring 21 educators, parents and patrons joined together to develop a comprehensive plan and vision for the Wheatland School District. This graphic depicts some of the priorities established by the CSIP participants. This is not an all inclusive list of the priorities, but they do represent items or characteristics that have the utmost importance to our school and community. We look forward to this plan guiding us in our work in educating and helping our kids! The Wheatland Way!
The Wheatland School District recently hired Officer Cole Cihy to be the School Resource Officer beginning next school year.
“Our school board and administration were seeking ways to continue to improve school safety and this was another step in that direction. Assuring that our kids and staff get home safely every day is our highest priority, as it is for all schools. We were happy to be able to provide another level of safety for our school”, incoming superintendent Randy Dougherty stated. “We look forward to having Officer Cihy with us this next school year.” In addition to Officer Cihy, Wheatland will also have 4 school protection officers on staff next year. “We want to make sure we can respond quickly in the worst situation”, Dougherty continued. “Unfortunately, we have to think that way.”
Officer Cihy stated, “I am very excited to work with the students and staff at Wheatland”. Officer Cihy will also serve as the In School Suspension supervisor.
Wheatland School is excited to introduce other new staff members as well. We anticipate those later in the summer/fall.
